When we first started EDC Guild, our goal was to create a welcoming community for everyone within the EDC world and to help newcomers discover just how fun, creative, and meaningful this community can be. As we continue to grow, our vision continues to grow with us.
We grew up with a dad who loved knives, lighters, hats, guns, and most of all, people. Our mom and dad also loved camping, nature, hunting, and fishing. Although EDC has always been part of our lives, joining the online EDC community showed us there was so much more to discover: amazing makers who handcraft incredible tools and treasures, from bottle openers, knives, pocket art, coins, and spinsticks to one of our absolute favorites—patches!
It took us a while to navigate and learn the online EDC world, but through meeting fellow EDC lovers and joining different groups, we’ve found so many incredible makers, unique pieces, and wonderful communities along the way.
The online EDC community has been a true blessing for us, especially after losing our dad in 2018 and our mom in 2025. Somehow, these special pieces—pocket art, patches, beads, spinsticks, and more—have brought us so much joy during both difficult seasons and good ones. That joy is something we want to share, and we want to help others find this space too.
Both my brother and I are artists. I paint and draw, while he focuses more on digital art, 3D print design, and creation. We’re also both huge nerds who spend most of our free time playing video games, taking photos, painting or drawing, building model kits and Gundam's, playing Pokémon TCG, or watching anime.
We’ve found that when we mention EDC in our fellow nerd groups, the first things that usually come to mind are guns and knives. And yes, those can absolutely be part of the EDC community—but there is so much more that many people don’t even know about. It can be a favorite crossbody bag or backpack that lets us carry our medication wherever we go. It can be the patches we add to make those bags unique and personal, the beads and paracord that give them character, or the wallets, Cruzers, and pouches that hold our cards, ChapStick, coins, cash, spinsticks, patches, and favorite little pieces of pocket art that bring us comfort on hard days.
That is why we started this group. We want to share this awesomeness with the world so that anyone who needs a great community, a little comfort, or a place to belong—on the darker days and the really bright ones—can find it here.
This group is for anyone looking for a community rooted in love, acceptance, allyship, kindness, and all the things that can sometimes feel hard to find. At EDC Guild, there will always be a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for you to be yourself.
The main rules of this group are simple: mental health, self-care, family, and friends come first. Absolutely no hate of any kind—no racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, or discrimination. It doesn’t matter where you come from, what you look like, what religion you follow, whether you have no religion at all, or who you love. As long as you are kind, you’re in.
